Sonus faber Sonetto V G2 Floorstanding Speakers

Three-way Sonus faber with flagship-derived midrange technology. Sonetto V G2 is the first model in the Sonetto G2 floorstanding range to step into a true three-way architecture. It combines Sonus faber’s 1.1-inch DAD™ Arrow Point tweeter, the 6.5-inch Camelia midrange developed from Suprema technology, and twin 6.5-inch woofers in a cabinet built in Vicenza, Italy.

Camelia Midrange

Originally developed for the flagship Suprema, the Camelia midrange uses a distinctive flower-inspired diaphragm instead of a conventional circular cone. Its five-cut geometry is designed to reduce the resonances associated with circular diaphragms, while the unpainted membrane and aluminum phase plug support clarity and consistent dispersion. In the Sonetto V G2, the Camelia driver operates inside its own sealed cork chamber.

Three-Way Architecture

The dedicated midrange lets the twin 6.5-inch woofers concentrate on the lower frequencies, while the DAD™ Arrow Point tweeter handles the top end. The woofers load into a down-vented enclosure, with crossover points at 280 Hz and 2,500 Hz. The result is a full-range design with the scale and authority expected from a larger floorstander without giving up the natural tonal balance that defines Sonus faber.

Italian Craftsmanship

The familiar lute-shaped cabinet is formed from wood, leather and a concrete base for stability and vibration control. The 45-degree top veneer and curved cabinet surfaces give Sonetto V G2 the finished-furniture quality that has long distinguished Sonus faber. Available in Walnut, Wenge and Piano Black.
