This is much more than a cosmetic update to the previous generation. Olympica G3 introduces technology developed further up the Sonus faber range, including the Camelia midrange, a dedicated cork-damped mid/high acoustic chamber and a newly refined cabinet architecture. The result is a speaker capable of sounding large and powerful when the music calls for it, yet intimate and beautifully resolved with voices and acoustic instruments.

Camelia Midrange — The Voice of Olympica G3

At the heart of Olympica G3 V is Sonus faber’s 165 mm Camelia midrange. Its distinctive non-circular paper membrane takes inspiration from the geometry of the camellia flower and is designed to reduce unwanted resonances while presenting a large radiating surface to the listener. In practice, that means exceptional clarity through the part of the spectrum where voices and instruments carry so much of their character — open, natural and convincingly human rather than simply analytical.

A Cabinet Designed Around the Music

The sculpted, asymmetrical lute-shaped enclosure is unmistakably Sonus faber, but its shape is acoustic as much as aesthetic. The curved cabinet helps control internal resonances, while Olympica G3 V places its tweeter and midrange in a dedicated closed chamber damped with a specially shaped cork structure. Separating and controlling this critical acoustic volume helps the midrange remain clean and composed even when the three woofers are moving serious amounts of air.

Italian Craftsmanship, Refined for G3

Olympica G3 evolves the familiar Sonus faber combination of wood, metal and sculptural form with matte grey sandblasted aluminum elements and polished 45-degree chamfers. The detailing is restrained but exceptionally precise. From the hand-finished Walnut or Wenge veneer to the substantial outrigger base and adjustable spikes, every part feels considered — a loudspeaker designed to live in the room as beautifully as it plays in it.
