Pro-Ject Debut EVO
At the heart of the Debut Carbon EVO is Pro-Ject's acclaimed one-piece 8.6-inch carbon fiber tonearm. Carbon fiber offers an ideal combination of high rigidity and low mass, allowing the cartridge to track record grooves with remarkable precision while minimizing unwanted resonance. The result is improved detail retrieval, greater transparency, and a more natural presentation of music across all genres.
The EVO introduces significant improvements over previous Debut models, including a redesigned motor suspension system and built-in electronic speed control. With the touch of a switch, listeners can easily change between 33⅓ and 45 RPM playback without moving the belt, while optional 78 RPM capability is available for compatible cartridges. Enhanced motor isolation and precision speed regulation help reduce vibration and improve speed stability, preserving the timing, dynamics, and musicality that make vinyl playback so engaging.
A substantial 12-inch precision-balanced steel platter adds rotational stability and incorporates a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) damping ring to suppress unwanted resonance. Combined with the heavy MDF plinth and height-adjustable damped aluminum feet, the Debut Carbon EVO effectively isolates the record from external vibrations and acoustic feedback, creating a quieter background and allowing more musical detail to emerge.
The Debut Carbon EVO is supplied with the highly regarded Sumiko Rainier moving magnet cartridge, factory-installed and precision-aligned for easy setup and immediate enjoyment.
