A compact floorstander for smaller rooms
The Fyne Audio F55E is a slim 2.5-way floorstanding speaker designed for listeners who want the scale of a tower speaker without a large cabinet. It combines a 5-inch IsoFlare point-source driver with a separate 5-inch bass driver.
Sensitivity is 88 dB with an 8-ohm nominal impedance, making the F55E suitable for a broad range of integrated amplifiers and AV receivers.
IsoFlare imaging with added bass output
The IsoFlare driver combines the mid/bass cone and titanium compression tweeter on the same acoustic axis for stable imaging and even dispersion. The additional bass driver gives the F55E more low-frequency output than the F5E bookshelf model.
In-room frequency response reaches 42 Hz, giving the speaker enough extension for many music systems without requiring a subwoofer.
BassTrax reduces placement sensitivity
The downward-firing port works with Fyne's BassTrax Tractrix diffuser to distribute bass energy around the base of the cabinet. That helps produce more even low-frequency response and makes room placement less critical.
The cabinet stands just over 36 inches tall and is finished in Black Ash for a simple, unobtrusive appearance.
Built for music and home theater
The F55E works well as a compact stereo floorstander or as the front left and right speakers in an F500E home-theater system.
