Gallo Acoustics Micro Spherical Loudspeaker

Micro was never intended to be just a discreet satellite speaker. The rigid spherical enclosure helps control resonance and diffraction, while Gallo's S2 loading extends useful bass response from a cabinet that is only four inches in diameter.

The result is a speaker that sounds much larger than it looks. Imaging is precise, voices and instruments stay well focused, and the wide dispersion makes Micro easy to enjoy from more than one seat in the room.

A custom 3-inch full-range driver handles the entire operating range, so there is no crossover splitting the signal between multiple drivers. That simple approach is a big part of Micro's character: clean, direct and coherent.

With 89 dB sensitivity, an 8-ohm nominal impedance and 100-watt power handling, Micro is also an easy load for most good stereo and home theater amplifiers.

Each Micro includes Gallo's Isolation2 surface mount for a shelf, cabinet or tabletop. Optional wall mounts, floor stands and in-ceiling hardware make it just as useful in a dedicated two-channel system as it is in a compact home theater or multi-room installation.

For systems that need deeper bass, Micro pairs naturally with one of Gallo's subwoofers. Used that way, it can form the basis of a remarkably capable system without filling the room with speaker cabinets.

The spherical cabinet is available in a wide range of standard and premium finishes, so Micro can either blend quietly into the room or become part of the design. Gold-plated binding posts accept standard banana plugs and heavier-gauge speaker cable up to 4 mm.
