FYNE Audio F501S Floorstanding Speakers (Pair)

The Fyne Audio F501S takes the same 6-inch IsoFlare point-source concept used in the F500S and adds a dedicated 6-inch bass driver in a slim 2.5-way floorstanding cabinet. The result is more low-frequency authority and greater dynamic scale without moving to an oversized enclosure.

For medium-size listening rooms, it is a particularly useful middle ground in the F500S range: 36 Hz in-room extension, 90 dB sensitivity and enough output to sound convincingly full-range with music or movies.

The 150 mm IsoFlare driver places the 25 mm magnesium dome compression tweeter at the acoustic center of the bass/mid cone. That point-source geometry helps maintain stable imaging and consistent dispersion across a wide listening area, while the additional 150 mm bass driver supplies the extra displacement a floorstander needs.

The F501S uses a downward-firing port and Fyne's BassTrax Tractrix diffuser to spread low-frequency energy in a 360-degree wavefront around the base. The internal cutaway makes the idea easy to see: the cabinet vents downward into the diffuser rather than firing bass energy directly toward a wall.

That arrangement helps make the F501S less sensitive to exact placement while still reaching a useful 36 Hz in-room.

A rear-panel presence control provides ±3 dB adjustment from 2.5 to 5 kHz, giving you a small but useful degree of tailoring for room acoustics, associated electronics or listening preference.

With 90 dB sensitivity, an 8-ohm nominal impedance and a recommended amplifier range of 30-150 watts, the F501S is comfortable with a broad range of quality integrated amplifiers, receivers and separates.
