Sonus faber Sonetto II G2 Bookshelf Speakers

More scale and deeper bass, without giving up the elegance of a stand-mount design. Sonetto II G2 is the larger bookshelf loudspeaker in the second-generation Sonetto family. Built in Vicenza, Italy, it combines a 1.1-inch DAD Arrow Point tweeter with a 6.5-inch midwoofer, an optimized front-facing reflex system and Sonus faber’s Intono cabinet technology.

A Larger Stand-Mount with G2 Engineering

The 6.5-inch midwoofer gives Sonetto II G2 greater cone area and a specified low-frequency extension to 42 Hz, while the DAD Arrow Point tweeter extends the response to 40 kHz. The midwoofer uses an aluminum demodulation ring and Sonus faber’s flower-patterned surround, with the crossover set at 3,100 Hz.

Intono technology sits between the reflex duct and internal acoustic chamber to help reduce unwanted resonances and distortion. The cabinet also incorporates a concrete base for additional stability and vibration management.

Flexible Placement, Serious Scale

The optimized front-facing reflex duct makes Sonetto II G2 easier to integrate into real listening rooms than many rear-ported designs. With 87 dB sensitivity and a recommended amplifier range of 30 to 200 watts, it can anchor a substantial two-channel system while retaining the visual footprint of a stand-mount speaker.

Italian Materials and Finish

The lute-shaped cabinet combines wood, leather and concrete in the familiar Sonus faber design language. Choose Black, Wenge or Walnut, with the open-pore wood finishes emphasizing the natural grain.
