Sonus faber Sonetto I G2 Bookshelf Speakers

Compact enough for smaller rooms, ambitious enough for a serious two-channel system. Sonetto I G2 is the most compact stand-mount loudspeaker in the second-generation Sonetto family. Built in Vicenza, Italy, it combines Sonus faber’s DAD Arrow Point tweeter with a 5-inch midwoofer, an optimized front-facing reflex duct and the company’s Intono cabinet technology.

G2 Engineering in a Compact Cabinet

The 1.1-inch DAD Arrow Point tweeter uses a copper shorting ring to extend high-frequency performance, while the 5-inch midwoofer incorporates an aluminum demodulation ring and Sonus faber’s flower-patterned surround. The crossover is set at 2,100 Hz, with a specified response of 52 Hz to 40 kHz.

Inside the cabinet, Intono is positioned between the reflex duct and the internal acoustic chamber to help reduce unwanted resonances and distortion. A concrete base adds mass and stability while helping manage cabinet vibration.

Designed for Real Rooms

The front-facing reflex system gives Sonetto I G2 useful placement flexibility in rooms where generous space behind the speaker is not always practical. It can be used on furniture or, for a dedicated setup, on the optional Sonetto G2 Stand, designed for Sonetto I and Sonetto II and sold separately.

Italian Materials and Finish

The familiar lute-shaped cabinet combines wood, leather and concrete in a distinctly Sonus faber form. Choose Black, Wenge or Walnut to suit the room, with the wood finishes showing the natural open-pore grain.
