Solid construction for consistent, accurate playback

The MMF-2.3 features a sturdy, durable chassis that rests on vibration absorbing rubber feet that are fully adjustable for low resonance and stability. It includes a heavy steel alloy platter rotating on a high grade steel and bronze bearing assembly for smooth, consistent spins. The mounts and belt-drive system eliminate excess noise and motor vibrations for an accurate sound transfer to the cartridge. The MMF 2.3 features a high quality, carbon fiber tone arm for enhanced tracking ability to accurately follow the grooves of your vinyl. great entry level audiophile turntable

I wanted to stay under $500 on my first turntable purchase since I bought a Yamaha PX3 linerar drive turntable 34 years ago for around $600. WELL, alot has changed in 4 decades. I looked at many sites and many turntables, but this really appeared to be the very best value. These guys even made the deal a little sweeter once it was in my cart. I called and talked with them and they were very supportive about the quality of the product. It arrived double boxed; had to sign for it, but that was ok. Easy assembly and instructions were helpful. I plugged that baby into my new Yamaha Receiver and Klipsch Heresey 3 speakers...pulled out virgin 180 gram vinyl JONI MITCHELL/Blue Album and put it i know why i so loved LP sound back in the 70s. This turntable was easy to assemble; counterbalance the tone arm; a few other things, and the sound, clarity, and dynamics of this unit are superb as is. I can't wait to plug it into a McIntosh tube amp MC175 and a new pair of Klipsch sounds absolutely perfect with just the little Heresey 3's at one watt....You wont be disappointed on this turntable; it plays "high end" like already; I am no audiophile, but I do recognize exceptional build quality and this unit has it. Simple and elegant; no bells and whistles...takes you back to youthful days of having to get off your butt every 4 of 5 songs to flip the LP over...the music is all right there, on the LP, and this baby captures it all in a warm, warm way. Entry level is high end of novice....and this is more turntable than I will ever need probably; but if i ever do move up to esoteric high level quality, this company makes those also.
