The Beoplay H8 masterfully unites design and function in the B&O H8. These premium, lightweight, wireless, active noise-canceling on-ear headphones with optimally balanced sound feature an intuitive touch interface for control and an incredible 14 hour rechargeable battery life - while using ANC and Bluetooth!

Advanced yet Intuitive

Beoplay H8 features built-in noise-cancelling circuitry and Bluetooth, making them the ideal headphone for listening on the go.

Aluminum touch panel technology allows you to control your music and calls with the mere touch of a finger; slide across the panel to skip a track, move in a circular motion to increase and decrease volume, touch to activate noise cancellation. Beyond music control, you can even tap the panel to answer calls and the built-in microphone on the headphones will always provide you with incredibly clear call quality.

Combining Comfort and Style

Allow your ears the comfort of memory foam earpads covered with soft lambskin, together creating a plush over-the-ear fit. The cowhide leather headband combines strength and style with a softly padded interior for long-lasting comfort. An aluminum frame ensures durability without weighing them down so you’ll want to wear these beautiful headphones for hours.

Long Battery Life

The Beoplay H8 by B&O are driven by a rechargeable battery that can also be replaced should it ever stop taking a charge. Each box set includes a USB cable for easy charging. A full charge will provide you with 14 hours of listening with the full use of both Bluetooth and noise-cancellation activated. Plugging in your headphone cable increases battery life to 35 hours with noise-cancellation still activated, and further turning that off uses no power at all so you can stay completely aware of your surroundings or conserve battery for as long as you need to.

BeoPlay H8s . . . They are so choice!!

Aside from wanting to have Bluetooth capabilities (for no other purpose than the utter convenience) to work with both my iPhone and Surface tablet, my priorities in selecting headphones were, in order:

1. Aesthetics – yes! I admit it! The only other cans on the market that come close (for the same money – and nothing for less money was even in the ballpark) are the Sennheiser Momentum 2s. But what won me over with the magnificent B&O BeoPlay H8 is its understated yet superb, high quality, sheer elegance – only 2 sumptuous ingredients: beautiful high grade leather and exquisite anodized aluminum. I was also attracted to the on ear models (less clunky-looking than the over ear models – and remember, aesthetics is my top priority!) and the Momentum’s on ear have plastic cups with cloth-like material for ear covering vs. the luxurious feel of lambskin on your oh-so-sensitive ears. I have owned these spectacular cans for 2 weeks now (having used them while traveling from Colorado to Arizona, with extensive layovers in Vegas and Phoenix – 20 hours, all told), and I counted at least 2 dozen Beats and zero H8s – for those who don’t want to blend in with the crowd. I also believe, given their handsome simplicity, they will look just as good 10 years down the road – irrespective of what the current “look” might be then. And speaking of looks, they look so good on your ears, around your neck or just holding them in your hands. And you just know that you are in the presence of sublime luxury when you behold them and handle them!

2. Comfort – It took about two weeks to break in these beauties to where they are comfortable wearing them long term. I have a large head and the clamp was very noticeable at first. However, after a bit of light stretching and frequent wearing (initially, 1 – 2 hours at a time is about all I could manage without needing a break), they are sooooo nice now. Be patient and you will be handsomely rewarded with a comfortably sweet set.

3. Sound quality – I am by no means an audiophile (clearly illustrated by the fact that it is my lowest priority in spending some serious $$$$ on headphones!). However, after wearing my H8s for the past 2 weeks, I have a much lower tolerance for anything less than superb audio quality. I also have the Bose SoundLink Mini speaker. One night, I was listening to music using the Mini and had to put on my H8s because the Mini was an affront (exaggerated bass the culprit!) to my newfound hearing maturity – so, fair warning, you may want to upgrade all of your speakers after enjoying music through the H8s! I have been a Bose man for 30 years and likely would have chosen their on ear SoundLink BT headphone except aesthetically (and remember . . . that is my No. 1 priority!) they are not in the same league as the H8s . . . and now I can say that about their sound quality too!

Ironically, I use my H8s primarily in wired mode. But the Bluetooth is easy to connect with both of my intended vehicles. The singular disappointment with this otherwise majestic piece is that the wonderful on-ear controls (volume, forward, backward, etc.,) don’t work in wired mode – only in Bluetooth. Sorry I can’t speak to the ANC as it is not something I care that much about. There is a discernible difference between the Bluetooth and wired performances. However, I can assure you the Bluetooth H8 performance quality is still very good. I listen primarily to old school classics across genres – from Gladys Knight & The Pips and Motown to CCR, The Doors and Pink Floyd to The Carpenters and The Mamas and the Papas to Tracy Chapman and Jim Croce. Again, after just 2 short weeks, my tolerance for even subtle changes in musical quality has been affected by wearing my H8s. Again, . . . fair warning!

In summary, a review I previously read on the Momentum’s quoted a Ferris Bueller line that I find far more applicable to the absolutely divine BeoPlay H8s: They are “so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up”!

Amazing quality. Superb Sound.

Starting with the packaging, the B&O H8 headsets do not pretend to be cheap. Packed very elegantly, showcase ready, with all the accessories tucked away in small compartments out of sight, the build and quality of the headphones can be seen at first glance. The brushed aluminium looks and feels very strong, while the lambskin leather ear-cups and ear-band with abundant stitching reminded me of a high end designer handbag. Without a doubt this headphones look and feel luxurious and well built.

Syncing Bluetooth took a few minutes and this was without reading the manual. The noise cancelling did not filter out as much noise as I thought and I attribute that also to the on-ear as opposed to over-the-ear design. Still effective in blocking out white noise, fans, dryers and that sort of thing. Havent tried them on a plane yet. The music itself was impressively, and not surprisingly, clear with the depth in bass and clarity in highs both executed very well. They sound much better than Beats by Dre to me because there is a very good balance between treble and bass. They sound almost the same wired or wireless and I will forego the slight boost in audio quality via cable for the freedom of wireless. I registered with B&O to get 3 years warranty and I am certain these headphones are worth the money.

Learned to Love

First contact with the H8 was less than ok - they smelled horrible from the packing material (contacted B&O customer service who recommended airing them out for a few hours, took much longer than that...several days). Set up with my MacBook and the bluetooth kept dropping out, wasn't very happy and thought I had made a mistake ordering the H8. On a recent flight however they were wonderful - husband used his Boise noise canceling headsets and I used the H8, which we both agreed cancelled out the noise much better plus had the added benefit of not being tethered by a cord. Any issues with the headsets were mostly operator error and lessened as experience using them increased; volume wasn't as loud on the H8 but sufficient. All in all, like so many other B&O products that reside in our home, I grew to love them and am happy with the purchase.

Love these

It took me 6 months to settle on these and I'm glad I waited. The sound is great, the feel is sturdy and extremely comfy. These will not disappoint.

Product A+, seller A+

I need to get away from lawn mowers and other noise pollution. I am audio perfectionist and my ears are sensitive to pressure. Don't ove ear because warmth. This is the best.
