If you’re a professional musician, or just a music fan, you’ll have a hard time finding better headphones in their price range than the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x’s. They have a well balanced sound with a fine attention to detail throughout their entire frequency range. Their large 45mm drivers deliver plenty of low end bass along with clear highs and midrange. Their closed back design is perfect for tracking in studio environments or listening to your music without being distracted by external noise. They feature the same great audio quality as the original ATH-M50’s, but have earned acclaim for their improved comfort and their detachable cable options.

Hard working musicians and DJ’s need a set of headphones that are tough, durable, and able to survive the constant rigors of travel and use. The ATH-M50x’s were specially designed with durability in mind, made with premium grade materials to ensure a long lasting life. Not only are they rugged and resilient, they have improved comfort over the original ATH-M50’s with a new thick padding on the headband, softer foam on the ear cups, and a swiveling design that promotes a great fit. The new ear cups can turn a full 90 degrees, so you can easily use them for single-ear monitoring at the club or in the studio. They come with three different detachable audio cables. An extra-long straight cable for use at home or in the studio, a special coiled cable that’s made for DJ’s or studio professionals, and a shorter straight cable ideal for listening on the go. A 1/4” plug adapter is also included so you can connect them to your stereo, professional audio gear, or your home entertainment center.

Happy Beginning Geek

I am late to the 'game', in that I started playing online D&D after turning 65. To get a good quality interaction, I was told I needed headphones since the background noise (my dog) was interfering with the other's experience. I met a young man in the airport wearing headphones - these particular ones - and asked him to tell me about them. He explained he was a 'certified audio-phile' and had researched thoroughly before choosing these. (how lucky am I to ask the right person?)

I like the comfort, the fact that they travel easily, (they fold up and come with a travel bag!), they have different length cords for specific needs, and they seemed rather in line with pricing for a variety of headphone sets. I'm looking forward to using them for the first game! So far I've used them for listening to music and they provide remarkably clear tonality of sound, and are comfortable to wear.

Great product! Great service? Great price!

Purchasing these headphones as a replacement for my aged Sony V700 was a no brainer. They take a little getting used to as the Sonys were the headphones of the day and did last a very long time. The ATH-M50x have excellent clear sound but not the deep base of the Sonys. For DJ'ing they are excellent and are built to last. Plus they seem to be a lot gentler on my hearing.

Audiogeeks are top flight when it comes to service, packaging and delivery! Highly recommend!
